Our Goals
Our NSF funded project is the culmination of almost 30 years of work in the Uinta Basin by members of our team. While we have published papers, written dissertations and master’s theses on the fossils from these beds, we have been unable to develop a comprehensive study that pulls together the geology, paleontology, geochemistry, and paleobotany of these two middle Eocene Formations until now. Our team is excited to write the next big chapter in the fascinating history of fieldwork in the Uinta Basin.
